What would be a good substitute for nitrogen in the air that we breathe?

I was thinking argon would be a good substitute as it is inert. Maybe xenon? Nitrogen does not affect us in any way, so I want a substitute that would neither be toxic, nor so dense that you would suffocate. Thanks.
