I am taking lessons for the violin but I think I suck at it?

As the saying goes "practice makes perfect". Do not expect to be good at playing an instrument within three weeks, music takes years of practice. Though you may be struggling at certain areas, this is natural as a beginner because you have had no experience with this type of thing. Just stick to it, practice when possible and have fun!
