How much is fiber optics per foot or meter cost?

Depends on what kind of fiber (MM or SM) and what grade you want and how many strands. You also need to figure in the type and cost of the connectors (figure at least $35 per connector, you will need a minimum of 4), you can buy it pre-connectorized or do it in the field but you need the right equipment to to this. Another consideration as far as cost goes is the equipment you will need to connect to the fiber...so depending on the distance and the application, copper is probably much cheaper.
